Travel Tales
Buddha once said "It is better to travel well than to arrive."
So if you're still waiting to 'arrive' sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
One day not so long ago my good friend James Grundy said
"Hey. Tommy. Let's make a rad site with rad content with an underlying tone of travel."
"Sounds good" I replied.
After a little back and forth we came up with the name wandering youth.
It's a work in progress and we haven't arrived yet but we're certainly enjoying the ride.
Learn how to travel well with our latest segment travel tales below.

The dripping tap remains relatively stagnant for now. Yes just for now.
In the meantime I can direct you to a never ending pot of gold.
Some brilliant things happening over here including the below clip.

Time
Deepest apologies for the lack of action on these pages of late. You know how it is. Bizzy. Bizzy. Bizzy.
One thing I do have time for is sharing this wonderful little clip I stumbled upon through the lovely creatures at qualitypeoples.com - and the Devendra Bandhart tune! Wow.

Back on the coast
After a two year European hiatus I find myself back on the Sunshine Coast of Australia.
A return to work, rent and reality. But it doesn't take too long to realise and remember all the things I missed and enjoyed. Here's a small tip of the hat to being back home.

A clear sunny QLD summer day is rarer than you might think. Lapping it up.
Bottles in brown paper bags. Peregian Originals.
The resurrection (and later destruction) of a board that doesn't want to die.
A van. A tarp. A shopping trolley. Life's essentials.
Cheeky shadow. Wattego's, Byron Bay.
Byron nights.
Pimp my van.
Black dog. White feather.
Shelter.
Night sequence courtesy of myself and Jack Bailey's extraordinary lighting techniques.
Electric wave. Broken Head, Byron Bay.
Byron ghosts.
Zinc check. Broken Head, Byron Bay.
Chai Tea Tuesdays.

A place somewhere
A place somewhere from tj rawlins on Vimeo.
'A place somewhere' was filmed on a Canon 7D with a 50mm & a 11-16mm.
Upon arrival I realised I had left my tripod base plate in London - therefore everything was filmed with me doing my best to keep the camera still, resting it loosely on top of the tripod. It was agonising at the best of times!
Shaky shots aside I hope you can enjoy this short film and accompanying soundtrack.
